Covid 19 Policy

Updated June 17, 2020 - This policy covers run and bike practices.  TVTC has not restarted swim practices.

Safety and comfort for our coaches and members are our number one priority.   The following protocols for Team Practices have been established so every person will feel comfortable and safe.  Every TVTC Member is welcome to join us if you are comfortable working out together, but separate. 

Run Guidelines

Please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Avoid attending practice if you have COVID-19 symptoms

  • Maintain a minimum six-foot distance from one another

  • Sneeze and cough into a cloth or tissue, your shirt or, if not available, into your elbow

  • Wear face coverings, as appropriate.  Do not shake hands or engage in any unnecessary physical contact.

  • Please bring your hand sanitizer in your car to use before and after practice.

  • Please bring your own water bottle.

Bike Guidelines

Please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Avoid attending practice if you have COVID-19 symptoms

  • Maintain a minimum six-foot distance from one another when standing  

  • Maintain a minimum of 4 bike lengths between you and the rider in front of you at all times while riding

  • Sneeze and cough into a cloth or tissue, your shirt or, if not available, into your elbow

  • Wear face coverings, as appropriate.  (Check your County guidelines). Do not shake hands or engage in any unnecessary physical contact

  • No spitting or "snot rockets"

  • Please bring your hand sanitizer in your car to use before and after practice

  • Please bring your own water bottle and other equipment, including bike pump

Please adhere to the following guidelines during the bike ride:

  • Please do not congregate.  TVTC Team practices will be no-congregation.  Only in your stable groups.   All information about ride and other information or education will be disseminated ahead of time on Facebook, Training Peaks, and/or Zoom.

  • Please sign up for a start time. Staggered Start - Sign up for a start time in your stable group or by yourself.  (See below for info on stable groups.) Staggered start will be 15 minutes apart, between 6:45am - 9:30am.  Members will reserve their spots ahead of time on the TVTC Members Only Facebook Page. Check the online calendar for the location each week, then watch Facebook for the bike route, time sign-up, and any information you will want and need for a fun, safe, and productive practice.

  • Please ride in your stable group, or alone. Choose a group of no more than four that you feel comfortable with, and that will be your group for at least the next month or so.  If you choose, you can ride alone. 

Waiver


To attend a TVTC practice, every member must agree to the run and bike policies.  Before attending your first TVTC Team practice, please email the following message to info@tvtc.com:  

I have read, understand, and agree to follow the TVTC COVID-19 run and bike policies.  

Your name.  

 

In the email subject line, please write:  TVTC COVID-19 Policy Waiver

 

* Please note: we're asking everyone to email your waiver agreement for the bike policies even if you have already signed a waiver for the run policies.
